JOIN IN OUR ACTA CHALLENGES

Our first challenge is our Stretching Challenge!

Your teachers have put together some great warm-up and stretch combinations to help you improve your flexibility at home. And since you have plenty of time at home at the moment that means you have plenty of time to stretch!

If you stretched a minimum of 3 times a week you would see a big improvement in your flexibility and your ability to do the splits. But why stop there? Why not do it even more?

HOW TO ENTER THIS CHALLENGE

  1. Take a photo at the start of the month holding your right leg split position.

  2. Stretch as much as possible throughout the month.

  3. Take a photo at the end of the month holding your right leg splits. See how much you've improved!

The student that has made the most improvement over the course of lockdown will win a prize!

During this isolated time, there are many elderly people who aren't getting much social contact which can make for very long and lonely days. What we would like to do here at ACTAcademy is create some special moments for lonely residents in care and bring a smile to their faces through the art of performance and poetry.

If you would like to create a special message for an elderly resident, please choose a classic poem, or perhaps you could write your own, learn it 'off by heart' and then recite it in your most expressive, clearest voices. Film yourself performing your poem and then send it into us so that we can send them on to the people who need your kindness and creativity most.

Email your videos to us at info@actacademy.co.uk. We can't wait to see your pieces and you are sure to put a big smile on people's faces.
