Welcome back after Easter everybody! We hope you are all well rested and ready to take on the summer term...
We have lots of exciting projects happening this term, including starting work on LAMDA exams, specialist workshops with West End professionals, a family showcase and, most importantly, filming our feature-length movie musical!
In the past, we have held our ACTAcademy film festival at the local Odeon cinema in Harrogate, with each class producing their own short films. But this time around, we are going to be producing a feature-length movie involving the whole school!
All of the original songs and the script have been written by our Artistic Director, Miss Kelly, and the movie will be directed and choreographed by our in-house tutors, not to mention it will be filmed and edited by talented Mr Christopher.
So be prepared for some exciting rehearsals, an even more exciting filming schedule and then, get ready to don your best dress and smartest suit for our glitzy red carpet movie premiere when we come back in September. We couldn't be more excited!
In other news, while you've been relaxing over the Easter Holidays, Miss Kelly has had a baby boy! He was welcomed into the world on Easter Sunday, and both mum and baby are doing wonderfully.
Miss Elisha is now the Head of Performing Arts Development here at ACTAcademy so keep your eyes peeled for new classes and opportunities starting up very soon!
Now that it's the countdown to the summer holidays, we have opened up bookings for our 2019 Summer Camps!
We are running two separate weeks of summer school this year, with a West End Week running from the 22nd July – 26th July and our Creative Summer Camp running from 29th July – 2nd August.
